Brownies bring out the bad in some people

Brownies are making headlines this week! The tasty treats have stirred up some controversy...In Amherst police are currently investigating a report that two students who attend Souhegan High brought brownies to school laced with laxatives. The two students handed these brownies out to students.

The brownies were laced with the OTC Ex-Lax. The brownies were given to more than a dozen students. The school nurse contacted Poison Control. Parents of the students who consumed the brownies were advised to keep a close on on their children overnight.

Parents of the affected children chose to pull the students from school for the day. The two students involved will be disciplined. No one was arrested and it is uncertain if charges will be filed.

In Pennsylvania a man stabbed his brother in a dispute over a brownie.

30-year-old Eric Cain stabbed his brother on Wednesday after becoming enraged that his brother cut the last marijuana laced brownie in half.

Reports say Cain grabbed three steak knives from the kitchen drawer and slashed his brother in the forearm. Cain was arrested and face charges of aggravated assault and reckless endangerment. He is free on bond.
